What is it that marks the passage of time for us as individuals? Phill Hopkins, originally a native of Bristol, educated at Goldsmith’s and for a long time an established artist that has chosen to locate himself in Leeds, has a voracious appetite for world news and the situations that we as human beings find ourselves subject to. ‘Daily’ takes us into the world of 24hr news broadcasts and social media memes from the perspective of an artist in the studio.
‘Daily’ initially took the form of an exhibition at BasementArtsProject. A second outcome, supported by About Time, was a newspaper publication which is available to pick up for free from Timeshare @ The Brunswick for the duration of the About Time programme
