Phill Hopkins: Daily

What is it that marks the passage of time for us as individuals? Phill Hopkins, originally a native of Bristol, educated at Goldsmith’s and for a long time an established artist that has chosen to locate himself in Leeds, has a voracious appetite for world news and the situations that we as human beings find ourselves subject to. ‘Daily’ takes us into the world of 24hr news broadcasts and social media memes from the perspective of an artist in the studio.

The exhibition takes place at BasementArtsProject, an artist-led initiative, located in a pre-war, mid-terrace house in South Leeds, facilitating and promoting the activities of artists nationally and internationally whilst maintaining a broad and varied programme within the city of Leeds.

Preview: 23 October, 7.30-9.30pm.

Opening times: Saturday, Sunday, Monday, 2-4pm and by appointment
